Xiaomi’s Latest Smartwatch is Small, Smart and Super Cheap
Xiaomi launches Watch S4 41mm with in-house Xring T1 chip, AMOLED display, up to 8-day battery, starting at $140. Only in China for now.

Xiaomi has introduced a smaller version of its Watch S4, now available in a 41mm format, featuring the company’s in-house chipset, the Xring T1. Initially launched in China, this model follows the brand’s May unveiling of the 15th Anniversary Edition of the Watch S4.
The 41mm Watch S4 is powered by the Xring T1 processor, Xiaomi’s first self-developed chipset. The development is seen as a strategic milestone for the company amid growing global demand for AI-ready hardware and persistent material constraints affecting tech supply chains.
The smartwatch features a 1.32-inch AMOLED screen with 466x466 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. Despite the stainless steel body, the device maintains a lightweight profile of 32 grams. Available in black, mint green, white, and a gold variant with a Milanese strap, the watch blends a sleek appearance with practical wearability.
Xiaomi claims the Xring T1 chip delivers 35 per cent higher efficiency than the previous generation powering the original Watch S4. This enhanced power efficiency helps deliver up to eight days of battery life under regular use with network connectivity, while users can expect around three days with the always-on display feature. The watch reportedly reaches a maximum of 15 days when paired with a smartphone using raise-to-wake.
In terms of design, the Watch S4 41mm reflects a minimalist aesthetic and targets users looking for a balance between price and functionality. Its compact form factor offers an alternative to bulkier models while maintaining core smartwatch features.
The Watch S4 41mm is currently available only in China, but a broader release is anticipated. Chinese pricing depends on the strap type:
* Fluororubber strap: 999 yuan (approx. $140)
* Leather strap: 1,199 yuan (approx. $165)
* Milanese strap: 1,499 yuan (approx. $205)
Though positioned below flagship competitors in terms of advanced features, the Watch S4 41mm presents an affordable entry point into the smartwatch market, especially for users prioritizing design, efficiency, and basic connectivity over premium specifications.
